What is the electric tailgate?

4. Smart Anti-Pinch Function. When the tailgate is closed, obstacles are detected by sensors. The tailgate will move in the opposite direction when the sensor detects an obstacles, effectively preventing pinching the child or damaging the vehicle.

The sensor detects an obstacle and the motor current consumption increases, so the power supply is reversed, resulting in moving in the opposite direction of tailgate.

The working principle of the strut:

When the motor is not working, the resistance of the screw rod, the resistance of the motor gear box, the spring force and the gravity of the door form a balance torque to keep the door hovering at any position.
